Overview:
Thrust ball
bearings typically consist of two or more races/rings
and a complement of balls. The balls may be
loose between the races but are more
typically retained. The retainers used are
defined by the intended use and may be
composed of steel, bronze, ceramic or
elastomeric elements.
They can be
supplied with or without radius ball grooves
in the rings.
Thrust bearings should be used
under purely axial loads. |
